Our Approach

Honesty

No overselling, no cookie-cutter routines. We tell you what your skin actually needs and build a personalised treatment plan around that, even if it means starting simple.

Knowledge

Every treatment and recommendation is grounded in clinical understanding of how skin functions, responds, and heals over time.

Value

We focus on what will genuinely move the needle for your skin health, so your time and investment go toward a tailored treatment plan and skin care, creating results that last.

Where relevant, we also look beyond the surface. Through our collaboration with Orenda Women's Health, we can explore what may be contributing internally, connecting you with naturopaths and nutritionists who support the same whole-body philosophy.

Wollongong Skin Clinic FAQs

  • What is Aesthetic Artistry Skin and where are you located?

Aesthetic Artistry is a boutique skin and beauty clinic situated at 2 Kembla Street, Balgownie, in Wollongong. The clinic offers science-based skin treatments and lymphatic care in a calm, welcoming space. It was founded by Tijan Emir-Ali, a qualified dermal clinician with a background in nutrition and health, who brings a holistic, evidence-based philosophy to every treatment.

  • What skin treatments do you offer in Wollongong?

Aesthetic Artistry offers a comprehensive range of skin treatments and advanced skin wellness options, including Dermapen 4 Skin Needling, Chemical Peels, Epidermal Peels, Q-Switched YAG Laser, Mesotherapy, LED Light Therapy, Plasma Pen, Dermaplaning, Skin Assessments, Facials, Lesion Removal, Lymphatic Drainage, and IPL Skin Treatments.

Our treatments span advanced dermal therapy, skin rejuvenation and medical-grade skin correction, all grounded in a science-led, evidence-based approach.

  • What skin concerns can you help with?

We create personalised plans for acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, melasma, sun damage, redness, sensitivity, congestion, enlarged pores, uneven texture, dullness, fine lines and visible signs of ageing. Treatment suitability is determined through consultation and skin assessment.

  • Do I need a skin consultation before booking a treatment?

We recommend starting with a skin assessment, especially if you're new to the clinic or have complex or persistent concerns. It allows us to recommend the safest and most appropriate treatment for your skin rather than guessing which service to book.

  • Do you offer acne and acne-scarring treatments in Wollongong?

Yes. Depending on your skin, an acne or acne-scarring plan may include professional skincare, chemical peels, LED light therapy, skin needling, Procell Microchanneling or other targeted treatments. Active acne and residual scarring require different approaches, so assessment is important.

  • Do you offer pigmentation and melasma treatments?

Yes. Depending on the type and cause of your pigmentation, we may recommend Dermapen 4 Skin Needling, IPL, chemical peels or the Q-Switched YAG Laser. Melasma in particular needs careful assessment, as some treatments can aggravate hormonally influenced pigmentation, so we tailor the approach to your specific skin.

  • What makes Aesthetic Artistry different from other skin clinics in Wollongong?

Aesthetic Artistry operates as a boutique skin clinic where clinical knowledge and honesty take priority over upselling. The approach is explicitly results-driven and evidence-based, with each personalised treatment plan built around what the client's skin genuinely needs to achieve natural-looking outcomes.

Our clinic also offers a broader holistic dimension through our collaboration with Orenda Women's Health, connecting clients with naturopaths and nutritionists where internal health factors may be contributing to skin concerns. We may also pair your skin treatment plan with our pneumatic compression therapies, or manual lymphatic drainage massages to lower cortisol and inflammation.

  • How do lymphatic treatments fit into my skin journey?

Lymphatic treatments, including Lympha Press and manual lymphatic drainage, are one of the tools we use to support skin health, recovery and inflammation management. They can complement your skin treatment plan, particularly where circulation, fluid retention or post-treatment recovery are relevant to your goals.

  • I have lymphoedema, is this something you can help with?

Yes, our pneumatic compression therapy and manual lymphatic drainage can support clients managing lymphoedema. As with any existing medical condition, medical clearance may be required before treatment, and our services are provided as complementary wellness support rather than a replacement for medical care.

  • What is the difference between skin needling and Procell Microchanneling?

Both treatments create controlled microchannels to support skin renewal, collagen production and improved texture. Dermapen skin needling offers adjustable treatment depth, while Procell Microchanneling uses a stamping technique with specialised growth-factor serums. Your therapist can recommend the most suitable option.

  • What are IPL and Q-Switch laser treatments used for?

IPL may be used to target concerns such as sun damage, visible redness, pigmentation and acne. Q-Switch YAG laser treatments are used for selected pigmentation concerns and laser toning. A consultation is required to assess your skin type, concern and treatment suitability.

  • How do I know which treatment is right for me?

The best way to know is through a professional skin assessment. Your therapist examines your skin type, concerns and history, then recommends a personalised treatment and skincare plan tailored to your goals, rather than a generic starting point.

  • Who performs the treatments at Aesthetic Artistry Skin?

Treatments are performed by trained skin and dermal professionals who assess each client individually and work within their qualifications and scope of practice. Our approach prioritises personalised planning, informed recommendations, client comfort and long-term skin health.

  • How do I book a skin treatment in Wollongong?

Appointments can be booked online through our live booking system or by contacting Aesthetic Artistry Skin directly. If you are unsure which service to select, begin with a professional skin assessment so we can recommend the most appropriate treatment.
